Is Your Food Actually Food or Just a "Product"?

If I were the CEO of a large corporation that provides food to millions of people every year, I would stand behind my product, and I wouldn't have a problem eating it.
But we recently saw a video of the McDonald’s CEO trying out a new burger, and his reaction told us everything we need to know. He didn't even call it "food"—he called it "the product".
When he took a bite, it was tiny; it didn’t even look like he was appetized by it. The camera cut away before we ever saw him swallow, and it looked like he was just trying to talk over the burger sitting in the side of his mouth.
When you see the person overseeing the quality of the food eating it with such hesitancy, it leaves you to question: What is in this that he knows is not meant for human consumption?
Food Science vs. Real Food
The truth is that most of what people buy at the grocery store or a fast-food drive-thru isn’t food; it’s "food science". It is something that is technically edible, but it is ultrapure-processed and composed in labs with scientific chemicals and 3D-printed meats.
Real food is supposed to have maybe one, two, or three ingredients. But if you turn over a package of bread, cookies, or a frozen dinner today, you’ll see 15, 20, or even 30 ingredients. Even a simple cheeseburger has been hijacked: the cheese has seven ingredients, the bun has ten, and the meat is loaded with preservatives and fillers.
This is a biological, weaponized food war designed by greedy corporations to keep people obese, sick, and needy because that is how they maintain profit and control.
Your "Second Brain" is Under Attack

One thing we often overlook is how this "mystery meat" and chemical-laden product is messing up the microbiome in our gut. Your gut is full of living organisms that break down what you eat, and it is often called your "second brain". It controls a lot of your thoughts and has a direct influence on your mental health.
When your gut is all out of whack because you are eating "products" filled with petroleum-based synthetic chemicals and dyes like Red 40, it is no surprise that we see a mental health crisis. People are depressed and struggling to think straight because their gut is not in sync.
Your body can only go so long being compromised before it starts breaking down.
Taking Your Power Back
We have to get back to eating whole foods and real foods. To win this war, you have to vote with your dollar every time you spend it. Every time you buy processed food, you are giving corporations your "vote" to continue diminishing quality while they increase the price.
Instead, start spending your money with local farmers and homesteaders who actually care about health. If you don't want to process your own meat, you should at least ethically source it so you know exactly what is going into your body.
We need to hold these systems to the fire and demand real ingredients, not 3D-printed mystery meat.
Join the Revolution at Set Apart Gardens
The best way to ensure your food is actually food is to learn the skill of processing it yourself. We are hosting a Lamb Processing Workshop on March 20th, 2026, specifically designed to help beginners get back to the land.
In this hands-on experience, we will be processing two lambs from start to finish. You won't just be watching a demonstration; you will be learning:
Humane harvest techniques
Proper skinning and breakdown
How to identify and separate different cuts
Meat packaging and storage tips
The investment is $350, which covers the cost of teaching you a skill you will retain forever. We provide lunch, and everyone will take home a portion of fresh, real meat. Seats are intentionally limited to only 10 spots to ensure everyone can participate and gain the confidence to provide for themselves.
Stop eating "products" and start eating food again. He who has the power to feed you also has the power to starve you. Take your power back and reserve your seat today.
