You’re Not Behind, You’re Where You’re Supposed to Be

Hey y’all. I know I’m a little out of town, but I still wanted to get on here and say this because I think somebody needs to hear it. You’re not behind. You’re not late. You’re not missing it. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.
Now I know that’s hard to believe sometimes. Especially when you look around, and it feels like everybody else is moving faster, doing more, showing more. But listen, your story ain’t supposed to look like theirs. Your pace ain’t supposed to match theirs.
You are where you’re supposed to be right now.
Stop Saying You’re Behind
I saw somebody comment the other day and say, “I just feel like I’m behind.” And it stuck with me because I’ve said that same thing. I’ve looked around and thought, man, I should’ve been further by now.
But then I remember, God don’t waste time. Every season, every delay, every pause has a purpose.
So if you feel like you’re stuck or slow or falling behind, you’re not. You’re in the middle of your process. And sometimes that part doesn’t look pretty.
You don’t see growth happening underground, but it’s happening. The seed looks buried, but it’s not dead. It’s just working in silence.
That’s you.
Growth Takes Time
I don’t care if you’re building a homestead, raising kids, or just trying to figure out life. Growth takes time. You can’t rush it. You can’t skip steps.
If you plant a seed today, you can’t go dig it up tomorrow just to check if it’s growing. You’ll kill it like that. And that’s what happens when you rush yourself. You uproot what God’s trying to build in you.
So slow down. Let it work. Let the process do what it’s supposed to do. You’re not late; you’re just in a growing season.
Stop Looking at Everybody Else
Listen. Social media will have you losing your mind.
You’ll see folks posting their harvests, their perfect setups, their flocks, their new barns, their acres, and you start thinking, why am I not there yet?
But what you don’t see is the years they put in, the lessons they learned, the mistakes they made when nobody was watching. You don’t see the tears, the broken fences, the failed crops.
You just see the finished product.
So stop comparing your middle to somebody else’s highlight reel. Your pace is your pace. Your journey is your journey. And the only person you need to outdo is who you were yesterday.
Slow Progress Is Still Progress

Maybe this year you only planted a few things. Maybe you’re still saving for fencing or trying to get your soil right. That’s okay. You’re moving.
Slow progress is still progress.
I’d rather see you move slow and steady than burn out fast. Because what’s the point of getting there quick if you can’t sustain it when you do?
Every little thing you do. Every weed you pull, every seed you plant, every chore you show up for- it matters.
You might not see it now, but it’s building something in you.
You’re Learning More Than You Think
Even when you feel like you’re not moving, you’re learning.
You’re learning discipline. You’re learning patience. You’re learning how to keep going when it doesn’t look like much is happening.
And that’s the real growth. That’s what sets you apart.
Anybody can do it when it’s easy, but you’re doing it when it’s slow, when it’s quiet, when it doesn’t look like it’s working.
That’s where strength is built.
You’re Not Late, You’re Being Prepared
I’ve learned that God don’t rush nothing.
You’re being prepared. Every delay, every slow season, every “not yet”, it’s shaping you.
Because sometimes what we want, we’re not ready to handle yet. Sometimes the land needs to rest before it can produce again. Sometimes we need to grow roots before we see fruit.
You’re not late, fam. You’re being made ready.
Don’t Quit Just Because It’s Taking Time
Listen, if you stop now, you’ll never know how close you were.
Every season you plant, you’re investing in the future. You may not see the return right away, but it’s coming. The only way you lose is if you quit.
So keep showing up. Keep tending. Keep trusting.
You don’t need a big harvest right now. You just need to stay faithful with what’s in front of you.
Where You Are Is Preparing You for Where You’re Going
Every step, every setback, every delay is teaching you something that you’ll need later.
This season might not make sense right now, but one day it will. One day you’ll look back and say, “That’s why it took so long. That’s why it had to happen that way.”
And you’ll be grateful. Because if it had come too soon, you wouldn’t have been ready to hold it.
You’re Right on Time
So let me say it again: you’re not behind. You’re not too late. You’re not failing. You’re learning. You’re growing. You’re right on time.
Don’t let what you see make you forget what’s still happening behind the scenes. God’s still working, even in the waiting. Keep showing up. Keep planting. Keep trusting the process.
Because when your harvest comes, and it will. You’ll look back on this season and realize it wasn’t wasted. It was necessary.
You’re not behind. You’re right where you’re supposed to be.
